Scope of work as an Exporter of Record -

The goods are purchased on behalf of the customer and exported out of the country. The commodities can be consolidated from various vendors but the products must be purchased through the Exporter of Record. This will save taxes on the commodity in the export country and avoid double taxation on both sides of the supply chain.
Scope of work as an Importer of Record -
An Importer of Record (IOR) imports commodities on behalf of a client. The IOR assumes ownership of the commodity and purchases the good that
needs to be imported into a country.
All statutory and financial obligations and compliances are taken care of by the Importer. The customer does not require an IE license and need not worry about the various complications involved in importing a commodity.
